'I guess Im really similar to Jodie. We've got losts of clothes in common, and like her I'm a real romantic. I fall head over heels in love all too quickly. We've both got an introverted side too - we daydream continuosly, and we each have a small group of close friends. But the biggest link of all is music.'
When Abi Tucker landed the role of Jodie Cooper in HBH, she was already a familiar face to TV audiences in Australia, not as an actress, but as an aspiring new rock singer who in 1992 won the grand final of New Faces. Abi carried off the first prise with a selection of clasric cover versions, and when HBH was getting off the ground, she was ideal for the lead role of Jodie, the high-school student who's determined to make her mark in the music industry.
