character biography
Kurt is a handsome, arrogant, muscle bound sort of guy who is
into most sports but excels in touch football and basketball.
Admired by most of the girls because of his sporting prowess and rugged good
looks, life appears pretty easy for this golden boy. But appearances can be
deceptive. Kurt's father, Barry, is a successful insurance salesman and an
alcoholic. He seems to cope professionally but, after work he wipes himself
out every night. Kurt is often left to cover for him in professional and
social situations.
The deep shame he feels about his secret is probably what makes Kurt want to
dominate his school environment. Used to being the most popular guy in the
school and always ready to bully anyone who doesn't agree with him, Kurt finds
Ryan a hard nut to crack. Of course, the fact that both he and Ryan are
interested in the same girl doesn't bring them any closer!
Kurt's trouble at home has left him - despite his popularity with girls -
emotionally immature. His last year at school is not set to be plain sailing.
